Will Schneider is a 19-year-old artist based in New York City, currently studying at Parsons School of Design. Originally from Cincinnati, Will honed his practice at Interlochen Center for the Arts, where he studied visual arts and participated in several gallery shows and a senior thesis exhibition.
Working primarily in acrylic, oil pastel, and mixed media, Will creates layered, abstract compositions that explore emotion through color, gesture, and rhythm. His practice is both intuitive and experimental—each piece evolves in real time through a process of layering, erasing, and responding to the unknown. “You don’t always know what’s going to happen,” Will says. “That’s what makes it real.”
Deeply personal yet open-ended, his work invites viewers to find their own connections—emotional, visual, or even physical. In past exhibitions, he’s experimented with interactive installations and collaborations with musicians, using space and texture to build environments that encourage reflection and response.
Will has exhibited work in multiple gallery settings, sold original pieces and commissions, and is now launching his studio practice publicly. He’s currently focused on growing his brand, selling prints, and continuing to push the boundaries of how abstract art can communicate feeling, memory, and presence.
